Hazel is called to become a Weaver, a supernatural healer of broken links and spirits, as calamity befalls her hometown. Equipped with these newfound powers, Hazel will face and defeat formidable foes, unravel the entwined strands of her own family's common history, and - with any luck - find her way to a place that truly feels like home.

Hazel is drawn into a Southern Gothic realm where myth and reality collide and mythological monsters reappear as a hurricane tears through Prospero. In this tale of coming-of-age, Hazel sets out to save her mother and discovers her own identity while entangling herself in a sinister web of family secrets and mythology.
