1915: World War I, Western Front. As a German Unteroffizier, you oversee a troop of soldiers. It is up to you to determine whether or not they will survive the conflict. Welcome to the trenches, Herr Unteroffizier! The stay at the camp is defined by hard work and an unstable supply situation. Is there adequate time for the men to rest? Can they digest the horrors they've witnessed and mourn the dead?
Every time you choose between the needs of the soldiers and the expectations of the superiors, you create a new narrative. However, your decisions do not affect the outcome of the conflict. They transform the lives of your men. The instability of battle endangers troops' physical and emotional health. You must make decisions repeatedly in order to deal with the battlefield's devastating coincidences.
