New warriors

The Kombat Pack will make the Mortal Kombat 1 roster even more impressive by providing six additional fighters. Three of them are well-known MK warriors, whereas the other three are guest characters from popular TV series.

• Quan Chi is a powerful and ambitious sorcerer who first appeared in Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero and debuted as a playable character in Mortal Kombat 4. In the original timeline, he was responsible for the massacre of Scorpion's family and clan, forcing hatred between Hanzo Hasashi and Sub-Zero.
• Ermac is a character created by Shang Tsung's dark magic by binding together the souls of fallen warriors. His move set traditionally includes telekinetic powers.
• Takeda is a character that has so far been a playable character only in Mortal Kombat X. As a son of Kenshi and a Scorpion's student, he combines the powers of both formidable warriors.
• Omni-Man is the father of Mark Grayson and a powerful superhero from the "Invincible" series. He uses an array of devastating moves to defeat his opponents. J.K. Simmons reprises his role as Omni-Man in MK1.
• Peacemaker is a DC antihero known from comic books, "The Suicide Squad" movie, and the "Peacemaker" TV show. He may not be particularly smart or sensitive, but his heart is in the right place. At most times, at least.
• Homelander is the leader of The Seven, a team of superheroes sponsored by Vought International in "The Boys" comic series and its critically acclaimed TV adaptation. He's a Superman parody; thus, his powers include flight, enhanced strength, and laser vision.

Release date

Mortal Kombat 1 officially came out on September 19, 2023. Kombat Pack characters will be released gradually after the game's premiere. Homelander is scheduled to join the Mk1 roster in the spring of 2024.
