In a world where the Criminal Magic Response Act enforces curfews to suppress magic users, Shibuya is a city where few follow the rules, and wizards live in the shadows. Marin Kirizumi, an oppressed wizard, arrives in the city with the desire to become strong and break free from the constraints placed upon him. His journey for liberation leads him to nighttime Shibuya, where he crosses paths with Sari Nishijima, a magic user who upholds her own form of justice, seeking to protect the city from those who misuse their powers and dangerous substances that turn people into monsters.
As Marin and Sari collide, they represent two opposing forces: Marin, driven by the need for freedom and to rise above oppression, and Sari, who believes in using her powers to maintain order and protect society.
